The Finnish Technology Transfer Center (FinnT2) is a cooperation organization for international and domestic technology transfer in road sector.
FinnT2 also serves as a communication forum between organizations, people and cultures in road sector.
Furthermore, FinnT2 creates opportunities for international and domestic joint projects with finest expertise and know-how.
The domestic field of operation of FinnT2 covers the entire Finnish road community: state organizations and institutions, universities of technology, municipalities, professional associations, and in the future, the private sector more comprehensively.
The Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian road administrations established T2 Centers within their organizations in 1994. These centers work in partnership with FinnT2 which acts as a regional international technology transfer center of World Interchange Network (WIN).
FinnT2 is also linked with the T2 Center network of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), USA.
The operation of FinnT2 is advised and supported by the Advisory Committee with members from the following organizations: Ministry of Transport and Communications of Finland, Finnish Road Administration, Technical Research Centre of Finland, Technology Development Centre TEKES, Helsinki University of Technology, Association of Local Authorities, Finnish Association of Consulting Firms SKOL and Finnish Road Association.
